You are hiding the wall of a set to get a good camera angle, but without the wall there, the outside light streams in and messes up the scene lighting. You need something that will block the outside light when the wall is hidden, give you some room to back the camera up, and possibly get out of the way when you change angles and the wall (with its windows to the outside) comes back into frame.
That's what this does. There are sliders to adjust the two "wings" of the prop in various ways. Also an optional ceiling cover.
It's a stupidly simple prop but it might save you a few minutes of setup that you can instead spend on creating.
