My real name is Waldemar Barkowski, I was born on 06/12/1952 in Düsseldorf, Germany. I graduated in Graphic Design / Visual Communication in 1977 in the production of a toon film, painting each frame by hand, it was a pain in the a... to draw `n paint back then. Over the years I have done so many different things, I don`t want anyone to get bored, in short: freelance work as a layout artist, airbrush illustrator, art director, cartoonist, 3D designer (yes - building real things with real tools ;o)). Also freelance artist and (space-)rock musician. The latter brought me into 3D graphics and video work, as I was the one who took care of our band's stage shows. Much of my Bryce stuff on the web was part of these virtual journeys... In the meantime I had really learned to love Bryce and many other nifty tools. Well - there is no "big philosophical background" to my work and life, but there is one: We are all born into our places to learn and to serve as best we can, even if we don't understand the meaning of it, just that we have more to learn. We are responsible for our thoughts and actions, for our children (even if I don't have any), for our environment, for our next ones. Avoiding war begins in our own brains, the power of OUR minds is a building block for all these forms in our 3D real world. Fighting for peace and freedom must never be done with weapons, never. Our weapon is CREATIVITY! Let us boldly go where no one has gone before! Have fun! :D
