Country Road HiRes is actually an abandoned section of Historic Route 66. Difficult to located, I managed to spot it from the car (it looked like a patch of asphalt down the hill from the current "Route 66".) We took the next turn and saw a dirt road. We started on the dirt road and it turned in to some unmaintained asphalt. Sure enough, it was the old Route 66.

It's emptiness leaves you lots of room to incorporate this in to your digital creation.
