Thanks Fairyland, OK the Layers aren't merged, but they are not editable because the Styles and Effects are merged to the Layers. Therefore the result cannot be applied to another shape or to a text. However, this helps to understand the pipeline by which youcreated them in Photoshop and can be done from version 6 to CS5. Have a nice WE!
