Cheval Mirror for your Boudoir

Softwares: DAZ Studio 4 With IRAY

License: This is licensed for commercial or non-commercial use.

Product Notes

This prop is a little rigged prop of a Cheval Mirror. The mirror pivots and... that's about it!

The glass is 170cm high and 50 cm wide at its maximum.

The prop is UV mapped, but no textures are used, only settings of the DAZ Uber shader are used.

Hope it's useful.

Was just looking for a free standing mirror and always you deliver. Thanks.

The method that springs to mind for me is to use the free DAZ Studio to export the mirror as an obj file.

Thank you. FWIW, I had problems porting to Poser: 'Classic' DSF Tools did not like model, claiming the Morphs DSF was empty. DS was confuddled by the DUF. I imported Tools' OBJ at 100% default, set 'MirrorBack' as full-on metallic via 'right-click, New Node, Root, Physical Surface, metallic = 1.0, Superfly Root ☑ ' First Superfly render (GPU) crashed Poser. I re-started PC to be sure, to be sure, and CPU-only render was okay...

Thank you all. It didn't take long to create. The biggest problem I had was the way the mirror surface was triangulated with sharp triangles, which fractured the reflection very badly. I ended up having to mesh the mirror surface by hand to cure the problem. Anyway, I hope it will be useful. I am sure there were a number of this type of mirror years ago (2005-7), but I could only find a model dating to 2010, and it was a rather low poly.pp2 file so it was worth creating a new one.

Well this is just lovely: One of those room accessories that you don't realize that you need until you see it, and now can't do without. :-)
