Cosmic Twirl 1 HiRes - Digitally painted background on a black background. You can use it as-is, or in post place it on a layer above your image and change the blending mode to screen to override the black and just get the effect on the image. This is just a simple twirl. Duplicate the layer and transform it for additional effects.
