You're all welcome, everyone! It's my pleasure! @SIGASIGA, you need weight mapping tricks for that. When editing the vertex weights, you want to use the Weight mode, use its picker tool to click a spot in the metal bit, and then paint the entire bit (and the areas that touch it) that same weight value. This should be done for all weight maps and bulge maps, and then you have a sturdy, non-distorting metal bit :)
