Product Notes
The Hurricane Aircat was developed from existing airboats to allow US armed forces to navigate the swampy areas of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. They operated from 1964 through 1970, before being largely handed over to South Vietnamese forces. Typical crew consisted of a commander/pilot, gunner, radio operator and two riflemen; carrying more than nine or ten people in total risked instability and possibly flipping the light hull.
