Product Notes
This hat was created with intent to be used as a free asset for artists to use in their renders. It is provided as a Daz Studio clothing item for Genesis8Female and can be easily adapted to any model. I have included the geometry in .OBJ format to do with as you please. I look forward to seeing what you will make with it.
The clothing item has been completely overhauled. Geometry clipping fixed. It is rigged as a clothing item for Genesis 8 female with transferred weights. After running a few tests it seems to conform to custom head shapes well enough that I didn't need to bother with weight painting. I was going to add morphs for hair before I realized that didn't make sense beyond some subtle stretching with a hat this rigid. Pose your hair instead :P. I still plan to add morphs for movement, crumpling, smashed, etc. Templates have been included as well as and OBJ file. Daz Iray material preset has been adjusted as close to PBR as I could manage, and textures were optimized. Enjoy!

The update is in. There are some morphs as well as a fix for the texture map missing error. The morphs are basic, just to give you some function, and are not so much intended for extra detail. You're welcome dieter. I had thought to include a whole battery of file-types but it seemed overkill as OBJ can pretty much be used by anything. I am addicted to Daz stuff right now, but I do intend to go back to rendering in blender cycles and soon Eevee which are both looking amazing, and octane which I have but rarely use. 2 crimes, guilty as charged. Any issues let me know... Btw. File error solved. I just forgot to overwrite the prop and material preset after changing some texture maps to the final directory. A bad habit I seem to have. The next update will not require a reinstall at all just overwrite and you're done.

Thank you maneki_neko! I'm glad you liked it. I was just alerted to a missing file error by another artist on the Daz freebie forum. Seems I've had some errant data from an older version in there. I'll be posting a quick fix soon.
