Product Notes
The helistat was an experimental aircraft that combined elements of a blimp and a helicopter. The whole concept never got very far and was originally intended for heavy lifting and hauling timber.
Like all my recent uploads, this is a model I made and no longer have time to work on. I originally wanted to rig it, make textures and material zones, etc. But I just have the time any more. Enjoy the model and do with it as you please.

A beautiful model of a hybrid aircraft, more recent than I thought because when I see a dirigible shape, I unconsciously associate it to bygone age ... This time again, I didn't know the real aircraft so Learned something by discovering the 3D model. Thank you for that, arrowhead42. Also thank you for the link to the information article. It's surprising to read that it only needed a 4 men crew to make it fly. Excellent base model, very neatly and nicely modelled. Thank you again for your generosity.
