Description
"Sea, is this a secure line?" GOD asked.
JS nodded.
"President Farnese wants to offer you a command in the EA army with a higher rank." she said.
"Last time my command was a bit too close to a next-to-be supernova," JS smiled. "Let me guess: I'll command the attacking spearhead against the Rogue fleet, right?"
A stiffening of GOD's jaw confirmed JS's educated guess.
"Smart of you!" JS grinned. "Is the EA striking back?"
GOD nodded. "The president is impressed by your action in Larir ..."
"And by my three cruisers." JS interrupted.
GOD hardened. No subject could dare to interrupt her, but she saw JS's lopsided grin. The man was no longer under her command.
"No, I'm the one interested in the cruisers. EA ships can't face the Bloody Dawn down, at least not yet. Does your ship make it?"
"Maybe ..."
"Maybe!" Vickie mind-blurted out, "Positive, I am!"
"I know hon, but she must not." JS thought.
"Your country needs you, Sea!"
"My country is Pie, now. The S'skash are my people. I have no debts with the Earth. However, the Eartheners with me are free to come back."
"I've no need for a dozen soldiers!"
"This is your fault, one can make a difference." JS replied and cut.
On Pie, JS summoned the Eartheners and explained the situation to them: "If you decide to go, know that Vickie will erase your memory just a bit. Pie's position must remain a secret. Let me know in a couple of days."
"We have a situation." JS and Eve told Maurr and the other Rogues, including Puhrr, what was going on.
"Maybe it's better we stay in our quarters, tempers may overheat." Maurr proposed.
"Nonsense!" Puhrr exclaimed, "We are princes of the blood and we can't hide like thieves!"
Maurr rolled his eyes and Eve stifled a laugh.
"No," JS decided. "We are brothers in arms, everybody must accept it. Maurr, you'll become my advisor on Foreign Affairs, corresponding to a position as second in command. This will solve rank problems in the fleet."
The next evening in Pie's great dining hall Vasquez spoke on behalf of all.
"We stay, sir. Everybody agrees. This is also our people, now."
"So everything we did, was useless?" Laetitia said. "No offence, dear!" she added turning to Gila.
"Useless! We saved Jumble!" Jetsam cried.
"And myself and the others." Swamp added. "I may be self-referential, but it seems a capital deed to me."
Everyone smiled.
"We discovered the Insectoid threat, and this concerns the whole galaxy." Maurr stressed.
"Yet the war broke out." Lee pointed out.
"Maybe GUN can help Maurr." Vasquez mumbled.
"GUN is a vipers' nest! They handed Lucas jr. and Adam over to the RATs!" Eve snapped.
"Shit! GNN is saying that Rogue citizens living in the EA had been interned, and the Rogues executed some Earthener captives. Skirmishes are reported." Matt announced.
"Maurr must denounce the GHOUL coup." Ishikawa proposed. "Maybe GUN will call a truce."
"Bullshit! Both GUN and the EA know Maurr is alive, but alone he counts for very little. He should form a government in exile!" Lee uttered.
"There are just four of us!" Puhrr cried.
"We're 54, with Sehrr and the others. Too few, I'm afraid." Maurr corrected her.
"No, it may work." JS said thoughtfully. "There's a successful precedent in the Earth's history. Hundreds of years ago, in a place called Indochina, they were only four and started an independence war, at least according to the memoirs of one of them, a chap called Giap, General Giap."
"You say it might work?"" asked Lee.
"Maurr has a birthright, and we supply the weapons. This is usually a recipe for success." JS smiled.
"Right! Maurr is the Blue Mantles' legitimate leader and Puhrr the designated future matriarch. Some of us are Red Mantles, therefore, we've both moieties. Maurr, I think it might work!" Kahrr said.
Maurr nodded.
"You've a lot of hitches with this colour stuff, guys!" Laetitia remarked.
"At work, guys, we must organize a revolution!" JS grinned.

If this scene had two more people it would be great! I hope you have some sort of python script that automatically poses every character perfectly. I can almost hear them, like walking into a huge dining hall. Flav, this is amazing! I wish you could see the smile on my face. ANd the scene is so perfect - war is on the horizon and everyone wants to talk about it.
