heehee! glad you like it. you can d/l it at the gallery for wallpaper, if you like. :) guitta: the top of the fishbowl looks correct to me. the ones ive seen have a thick, overhanging lip like that. small: it was simple, really. i wanted to make a fishbowl image, but i was working on the campfire (for another scene)... they got mixed together in my brain, and.... :)

heyas; been working on improved fire. i ditched the additive nonsense for something better: mundo ambient light. i set the ambient slider to maximum, and the material turned an ugly brownish orange. so i said, i will MAKE you glow! if you type into the ambient % box, you can put whatever you want. these babies have 500% ambient light. oh, that's nerd's campfire, with the flames duplicated and rotated around. still struggling with wood textures. :/ at least this isn't as psychadelic as most. i tried mixing wood grains for deeper complexity and naturalness... i gotta quit that and go simpler! :) btw, anybody know how to make the function thing spit out a gradient from black to white? i know if you use a null function with black to white shader, you get that, but i mean IN the function. i was trying to do a jiggly transparency that faded as it got higher. i think it can be done with one of those checker functions, if you can manage to reduce the squares to one black and one white.....
