I bought Mojoworld umpteen jillion years ago because a friend was doing great things with it, the only app I have ever bought before or since it was expensive then $400 bucks. Upgrades were a nominal Fee but turns out Pandromeda was in the middle of an Ego Trip war in the ownership and developmental ranks the app just stopped being developed soon after. The owner and major developer took his Ball and went home along with the rights to and Code for Mojoworld leaving Pandromeda users high and dry.There were only a couple upgrades I needed but I wasn't going to pay anything to upgrade an Orphaned app, I still use MoJo occasionally because it was and is still one of the best landscape type apps (it was actually called a Planetscape generator) way advanced at the time and still viable although it is single threaded making some renders a marathon in time (weren't many dual, quad or 6,8 core Processors at the time) so it was never taken into the world of multi core multi threaded Processors, a shame.
I got Flowscape last year as a kneejerk reaction to their announcement, but I've not installed it Think I paid $10. There are a few who still use it and post on the Vue Gallery page on FB, but it's nowhere near as busy as it used to be. I used it for over 20 years. My last upgrade was 2015 Infinite. After that, Cornucopia site died and so did the sales I had there that pretty much paid for my yearly upgrades.
Thank goodness for AI is all I can say....otherwise anything in my home that didn't move would be quaking in it's boots as to what colour I'd be painting it next hahaaaaaa

I had one of the first Mojoworld's, it was also one of my fav's for sci fi style landscapes. You could add up to seven moons in the sky if you wanted, nothing else at the time could do that. I agree that it's a shame there was never a newer version. Went to Vue Studio because it could render some great volumetric lighting and the plants and trees had a higher polygon count than anything you could find in Daz or Poser. It's more than 15 years old now, but still works on my lastest pc. I have to agree with Gill that I can do stuff with Mid-j that I could never do with Vue. The fact that it renders in a few minutes rather than a few hours is also icing on the cake. (no candy land reference intended, lol)
A bit chilly here tonight, -34C or -26F with the wind chill feels like -45C or -49F. Think I'll stay in and play on the pc... ;)
I would love some metal candle lanterns (only own glass ones, I believe those are called jars LOL)
Mine aren't as fancy as MidJ's but we have loads here. Luckily, people must get bored of them as I've found quite few of mine at car boots (think you'd call them yard sales?). Some picked up for 50p or £1. Found a few really wicked light fittings as well. One is a 1950's Capodimonte that I got for a few pounds. Needs rewiring but sells for a few hundred pounds :DI would love some metal candle lanterns (only own glass ones, I believe those are called jars LOL)

am Australian and they don't seem popular here
candelabrum etc yes or the jars, I don't even see them in shops
