Quote - Hello people :)

I have been away from this thread for some time due many things as vacations, and work, and more work... but as I love Antonia, I keep supporting her in all my hair models. This time, is the reworked Alanis.

Hope you like her with it, here is an image of her using the Sienna Color and one of the many styles this hair has.

Must say that the hair has not a hair fit, it has a Built In morph that puts the hair over her as if done just for her head.

Hope you like it, is in the store now... and I just got 2 messages from customers asking me where they can get Antonia LOL so I sent them directly here and the Freestuff section.

I really like a lot this model, just would love to have more time to play with her...

see ya

Thanks Les, I participated in the Forum-Banner contest (it was an "everybody wins" contest) last year but none of the new banners went alive as the administrator changed in between. Now the contest ran again and so you can see two Antonia banners here and there 😉 I mean: Antonia is a child of this forum, this is here native environment so the banner, to me, was a must!!

Fabi: Fantastic image and of course a fantastic hairdo. It turns Antonia into the "belle of the ball"!!

Oh boy, now I have a brand new toy to play and with when I get a chance I want to do a scene with Antonia!

I was rewarded for being a good girl and doing some spring cleaning, got PoserPro2010 as a prize.

So does anyone know how well it will handle her morphs and shaders?

i've had PP2010 for awhile now & will not go back to previous versions. it's really nice once you get it laid out like you want (& a UI dot saved for when it self-reverts) Antonia works just dandy in it. got your Nicol texture with a birthday coupon from CP & she looks real nice too. hopefully you'll be pleased with your new toy.

Congrats BlueEcho!!! Once you are used to the new surface you will like it better than any previous version. Be sure to get all updates for it and to customize the UI (and library) to fit your needs! I like the new features, especially IDL a lot. In fact I could hug IDL to death LOL - see the "Attack"-image in my gallery for both, IDL and Antonia in PoserPro 2010.

I went back and skimmed the whole thread, earlier this week, and that's prompted me to go through and try some of the things in my Antonia downloads folder which I hadn't used yet.  (It also introduced me to bagginsbill's sagging flesh balls and surprised me with odf's pRonographic images.  :scared: )

I was excited to find a set of hand poses, from the dev site, but it looks like the thumb rotation has changed since these were created.  Does anyone recall how the thumb rigging changed?  I'd like to try to correct these, so I can use them.

Hi Cage,

Pronographic images? How appalling!

I don't recall how the thumb rigging changed, but the changelog tells me that the re-rigging happened between versions 0.9.122 and 0.9.123. Both versions are still up on http://www.bluecho4u3d.com/Antonia/database/sites/base_figure.htm.

-- I'm not mad at you, just Westphalian.

Cage ( ) posted Thu, 21 April 2011 at 6:36 PM

Okay.  I have both of those versions, so I can work out what changed.  I assume the problem is a change in rotation order, primarily.

It's kind of neat that some of the older versions are still available.  The slightly mad collector in me is saddened that my earliest version is 118.  I don't suppose there's any chance of older versions being posted to the Free Site archive?  Just 'cause, you know, the history and all.

If I had them, I would post them. But in fact I haven't kept anything older than 118 myself.

What I still have is hundreds of older versions of the raw, unrigged geometry. It's sometimes  interesting to look at those.

That could be really interesting.  I'd like to see a series of mesh images showing Antonia growing up.  That would be nifty.  I was fascinated by the image you posted of your earliest version, waaaay early in the thread.

There were body handles, in the builds through 114, if I understand correctly.  Did these work well?  I'm curious about how phantom's rigging worked.

And I'm glad you didn't keep the head UV-mapping with the lower face split in half.  :scared:

The oldest version I own I've downloaded on April 23 2009, it has the name "Developer.cr2" (created on April 13 2009), on the same day I downloaded Antonia-96.cr2 (created on April 4 2009).

It's a bit scary for me to see that I started with Antonia exactly two years ago- as we already have Good Friday here (I will never get used to this term...), the 22 April. How funny that you ask today, two years later.

The hand poses on the dev site might be mine. I think it was just a few weeks after I posted them that odf changed the thumbs. It was one of those things I marked as must get round to fixing one day, but of course never did. Looking at the "CHANGELOG" that ships with Antonia, I see the following relating to the thumbs:

Changes in 0.9.124:

  • fixed origins and bend parameters for thumb2 and thumb3

Changes in 0.9.123:

  • re-rigged thumbs with xyz rotation order for all parts
  • reshaped the fingers and thumb

If you do get round to fixing them, please post the fixed version on 'Antonia's Free Site'. I think SainFox also has some hand poses on the free site.

SaintFox ( ) posted Thu, 21 April 2011 at 7:19 PM

Yes, please post them if you fix the thumb - because one can never have enough handposes!

I'll see what I can do.  It's definitely true that one can never have enough hand poses!  I am so terrible with hand posing, just dead awful.   But hopefully not so bad with Pose correction.  I'll see if there's any kind of script-based batch solution.

If only the possibilities were endless.  Sigh.  With something like correcting a few joint rotations between two specific figures, it might be possible.  Many other efforts are foiled by my limitations or those of Poser Python.

Hard to tell about the hair texture, as most of it is in shadow. The outfit is very nice. I like the loose flexible impression it presents. I love the face, is the morph available?

It will be, once I have the character together.  Once the hair is done, I need to do a detailing pass on the suit displacement, then build some shoes.  Hopefully not long, now.

These were actually just the first two portrait characters I had queued up.  There are others.  And if we had a Brad or a male equivalent of Antonia, there would be some male characters in that queue.

Which is not to say that you're altogether incorrect.   😊

I have a question: Has this problem (see image) with the inner-Mouth/Teeth template beed adressed meanwhile? I've downloaded Antonia 1.2 again (but just from the free site) and found the same old error. On the other hand I just start working again with her and it may be that I am just confused... Maybe some nice person could check my results and tell me if I am wrong or if the temlate needs to be replaced.

I been meaning to address that as well.  Upon texture making, I notice the UVs for the inner mouth/teeth, do no align.  I had to redo it in UVMapper Classic.

That's the V3 remap template, right?  If the mapping is correct and the template is just shifted somehow, can a texture made with the bad template just be pulled back into proper alignment with the actual UVs?

I guess I wasn't paying attention when that topic was discussed.  😊

I used for the Toni Polygon texture with version 1.2 and it works. Toni Polygon is made for and with the templates of version 0.9.121. These do still match version 1.2, so in fact the template with the glitch could simply be replaced by this version. But I hope that odf will do this as I don't want to tinker with his own files.

Above is Antonia 1.2 with teeth and tounge (gums are set to transparent as above but match here either) of version 0.9.121

No, cage, that's the original template that comes with Antonia 1.2, not the remap. So in fact this should be adressed sooner or later before someone pulls his hair out by trying to make a texture for the final Antonia 😉 To me this is not the big problem as I have many old versions and their templates to try out. But if somone has just 1.2 he will be lost.

As long as an "original" template is available I use this as here and there you find little notes and such in them. If not I use UV Mapper as well. But I think especially people who want to try some texturing for the first time will be pretty puzzled...

So many new posts since the last time I checked here...

The last time I visited this thread I think I said I was going to make some clothing for Antonia. I remember I already made a t shirt that Saint Fox "Poserized" for the Poser Cloth Room, but I can't remember what else I said I was going to do, lol.

Anyway, I have some rare free time for a few weeks and need to practice up on my organic modeling (seems all I ever do these days is architectural stuff), and then I remembered this thread.

So what is Antonia missing? What kind of accessories and/or clothes does she need? I don't think I want to read through 300+ pages to try to figure out what she's lacking in terms of clothing and accessories. ;-)

I just feel I should make some more stuff for her, since I downloaded her free and she's such a good model, so if anyone has any suggestions let me know.

I don't even have the latest version. Has anything major changed as far as her topology?
