Story / Description :
Continuing from my last render.
We finally reached the picnic spot. It was one of Miho's properties but something I had never seen before. It was beautiful. The trees were full of colors, the lake was like emerald. Most of the area was covered in sand. And there was patchwork and light and shadow everywhere between the trees. There was a nice breeze blowing and though the water was choppy, there were no waves here. Miho stopped on the small wooden dock that was there. Her face was lit up and I instantly knew she loved this place. I ask her to go and sit on the edge and that I would be there with her with the sandwiches and cold drinks. She went to the edge and promptly took off her shoes and slipped off her teeny tiny strapless dress and sat down at the edge. She was a vision of beauty.. more beautiful than the surrounding for sure.... I too got out of my tees, jeans and shoes and got the sandwiches and cold drinks and hurried up to her. She looked at me said she loved it here, so beautiful and peaceful. I sat down besides her and handed her a sandwich and cold drink. We started chatting about this place....... Miho told me how she had found this place accidentally. It had the lake but otherwise was barren. Miho had suitable trees brought over from her vast nursery and had them planted here. I admired what she had done. This place was alive. There were fishes in the water, birds could be heard chirping. I am sure there were many squirrels around too.... A beautiful place to actually live in.......
About this render :
I made this scene using many different props from many different sets. There are 3 ground planes here. One for the dry sand, one of the wet sand (with the same texture but with a slightly darker diffuse color to make it appear wet) and one behind the trees that looks like natural wall. I manually posed 40+ instances of trees to create the patch work of trees you see. The dock came from a different set and after I put that in, I posed Miho on it delicately. As usual I took pains to make the pose look natural with attention paid to how everything including the fingers and feet were looking. I also did a custom morph for her hair in ZBrush. Then I used VWD to create a morph of Miho dress on the floor as though she has slid out of it. Did some cleanup for it in ZBrush and then placed the dress and shoes behind her. After that I posed the bike and 'me' in the background. Added the helmet on the handle bar. Also found an old boat prop and added that too on the scene. This time I also found a foamy water prop hiding in my runtime library. I loaded that and changed the water material to the specular material I use for water. Finally added some fishes under and near the dock and the scene looked complete.
About iborg64's comment on my last render :
I totally agree. Having put in a fair bit of work to create a feel of motion in my last render, I had forgotten to change the front tire texture to something that would indicate motion. So I have re-done the texture and uploaded it again. But there is one thing that I still haven't fixed. And that is the spokes are still sharp. I don't do post work at all. So I think I need to figure out a way to add 'motion' to thin geometry like the spoke without actually rendering animation. Will do some RnD regarding that.

Pretty lady beautiful image my friend :)

A very pleasant scene indeed just the kind of place I could do with sitting myself. I've just had a look at the motion blur on the tyre looks very good I don't mind a bit of Post work so I would usually put some radial blur on the spokes in Photoshop

I wish we were on the north coast, it would be so warm that you could go swimming. But despite the high summer it is quite cold here ... Fabulous render. Funny, how the guy tinkles around in the background on the motorcycle.

most artists here are far more accomplished than myself, but when I use to do layers for a scene, I recall it being difficult to make them be properly blended together
