Description

Well, my first week of training here in Tampa-St. Pete is behind me! It's Saturday, now, and there are three more weeks to go! I went with some of the other guys today for a little 'Touristing.' We went to a really neat aquarium in Tampa, toured it, then went on a 90-minute cruise into Tampa Bay, saw some dolphins and watched the pelicans dive-bombing whatever it is pelicans eat. I'll be posting some more photos, and hopefully it won't make Schonee too homesick! :-D In the meantime, one simply cannot go to Florida, and not get a photo of an alligator. Mike (mresty) said something about getting a photo of a big gator from a safe distance. Well, this isn't a very big one, but he was smiling at me so nicely, I had to get a photo of him/her (how does one determine if it's a he-gator or a she-gator?) I dunno... I'm sitting here watching the Discovery Channel, showing a program about some of the wierd critters running around New Zealand, so I might have to give Barry an assignment! LOL! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Thanks for all your comments and faves! I'm behind on commenting, but I'm working on catching up! :-D

LOL!!!!!!! You DID IT Rod! You really went out and got a picture of a gator! NIIIIIIIIIICE!! She's a BEAUTY!! How do I know she's a she you ask? Because she is smiling SO sweetly at you, that's how. She obviously finds you attractive and is very flattered that you are taking her picture. And see how nicely she's posing for you? LOL! Cool photo Rod! Thanks for getting a picture of a gator - even if it IS just a little one.

Now that's a great shot! Beautiful reflection work, you can see the swamp it is in and yet you can also see its body under the water.

hi rod, first nice to hear that you are well and running around like a "dickhead tourist"lmao. i have to run around as DT as well for the time beeing,i am glad when i can walk around as a normal dickhead again ( more laughs ) this guy really looks like hes smiling and sympathetic really. or maybe i see him smiling because you said he was-virtual brainwashing lol. i would rather say he would ripp you apart without a second thought as is his nature of course and he will behave in his given parameters. weird critters in new zealand huh. i have to speak to barry-lol.

Gee great shot Rod this critter has got a smirkey smile on his face makes me wonder what its been up too lol.. Glad your able to get out and about a bit while you are there., As for New Zealand having some weird critters running around, your not telling me anything new, I bump into them all the time, well the sober ones, the drunk ones we just roll under a table or a bus or into the gutter so we dont trip over them hehehe.

Well if you're sane, you don't try to check if it's a he-gator or a she-gator.
