So Hilton comes to Bournemouth. The inevitable march of progress. And so creative. I would describe this as a prime example of "layer cake" architecture. I had to look it up.

"This upscale hotel is a 3-minute walk from Bournemouth International Centre, a 6-minute walk from the beach and a mile from Bournemouth train station."

All this for a mere $120 US per night. When I visit perhaps I'll book a room and we can go up to the top floor for the views. And if all the EU workers are sent home Britain can always hire Hispanics from the U.S. Most of them are due to be kicked out by the Orange Blob any day now.

I guess tourists who inject money into the local economy have to stay somewhere nice! I imagined you would up at The Sky Bar every night Andrea!!

My goodness! I would have said that bit of property was unbuildable.

yeah, they really ruined that land. The building looks like a gigantic layered sardine tin! And lol, Mark. (He's way too kind to DTrump.) Still, I really like the composition of your shot, and your edge-work postwork, making it almost an abstract. I love the angles of the streets and pileups of the buildings. As an image, it's a real eye-catcher. But I keep expecting someone to come along and pull out one of the floors like a drawer, take out some gigantic socks, and walk off. Ah well. Progress...

Sometimes it is good to be late to the party. I always love reading comments of others...this time Mark and Mark have set the perfect tone. Also liked your before and after at the link. I used to be all for development in my earlier years...today, I'd like to turn back the clock and get rid of so much of this stuff.

Rather a interesting style and looks very expensive and a bit out of place.

I would think that instead of building this style, they would try to keep with the local flavour of the area. It stands out like a pesky and ill formed wound
