Description

The mood and atmosphere are similar, but this is not a foggy day in Londontown, and about as close to the proverbial moors as I'm going to get. Captured 12/11/10, in the very early AM, in my beloved Holifield Park, situated within walking distance of my daunting domicile. Better viewed full size. Choose your preference between these before and after versions of the same photo, the original on top depicting barrels placed on the lawn, possibly serving as boundary limits during soccer games, and with them cloned out in the bottom shot. Shalom, thankx for the visit, and for any and all complimentary comments and faves.

Geez I realy don't know Harry. I don't mind a barrels in a scene but also like the open, quietness of the field too on the 2nd. Either way a lovely mood.

I like them cloned out as it really makes the atmosphere more intense. This was like here this morning and we are mid summer. Excellent capture and work.

I prefer the bottom one, the 4 barrels are distracting and doesn't add anything to the image, excellent mood and captures, very good work!

Excellent work, Harry; I don't mind the barrels, it gives the fog some depth!

Nice cloning! The fog is the star in these shots and the barrels can be in or out for me. Dana

Keep the barrels...they add interest...as in what are those barrels for? Neat collage. I feel the fog.

I really like that you posted both, and btw, your postwork on the "removed" version is seamless. I prefer the "without" version artistically, because it's so pure and bleak and beautiful. But the one with the barrels are more 'journalistic', they show life as it is, with things that get in the way and just sit in our paths. It's got a whole other feel. So really, they're both fine, for me. It's great that you didn't bring forth the trees more, or try to counteract the fog: There's just enough definition in the trees to make them known; but the fog has utterly taken the shot over. Beautifully seen & presented, and showing that even a local park can seem infinite when captured the right way. And thanks for giving both versions. It's what artists do, and I like that...

Oh wow...so glad I found this one...love it...certain "feel" to it...wonderful capture Harry! Very interesting idea to take the cans out...but I still like it...both have their "feels" to them. Well done my friend.
