Description

A little mad science in a bygone age. :) (FYI: "The Secret Life of Dr. Calgori" is in a rather cool song by the band Abney Park.) Experimenting with more "illustraterly" looks to my finished pieces. While not bad, this one isn't quite there yet. Still it's getting closer to what I want. Credits: David, Project Z hair, 19th Century garb, Steampunk cowboy, and Steam Dragon from Daz. Offbeat Alchemy and Dark Mage (glasses) from RuntimeDNA, Kyan for M3 by Muted Banshee, Posenstein lab by kurokuma and CryptoPooka, IN TELLUScope Observatory by winnston1984, Wizard's tower by Netherworks, LAB-PAK by kodesign. Poser 6 render, mega-post in Photoshop.

Very nice levels for the illustration look. The hard question is how many details do you want to smash in order to create a more simplified look? This looks very nice but your still carrying most of the details. BTW, I don't know the answer I'm still trying to hit my interpretation of the perfect balance as well.

Yes, it has that illustrative look to it and yes, you have captured the look of the turn of the 20th century sci-fi genre. What I find disturbing is the green goopy thingy that will likely find its way up through the microscope, enter through the left eyeball of the scientist and do who knows what to him... Ha ha ha ha

I can tell this was a lot of work. It looks great! I don't know what you mean by "what you want" but when you get it there, please buzz me so I see it. I think this is great.
