Description

This is one of those images that looked SO much better in my head. I've wanted for years to try to to a scene where some kind of armor "grows" across the wearer, and this is the latest attempt. Not real happy with it, but after so many days on it, I decided to call it "done" and move on to one of my other images that's giving me trouble. May revisit this one some other day though. Credits: Aiko, David, Daedalus Rudi, V3/A3/S3 clothing pack, David Clothing pack, Cyber Knight, Back Alley from DAZ. Dixie Hair by Lady Littefox Blue hair by Suisui. 4 Poser 6 renders, tons of Photoshop.

A great idea but possibly it might work a little better if there wasn't such a dramatic change, the gold is quite overpowering. Also it's rather unclear as to just which it is they're changing to. Is there danger (other than knocking over the barrel) or has it passed? Their facial expressions suggest the latter, but you never know. I'd love to see you revisit this at some time.

Ive been looking at this for about fifteen minutes, trying to figure out some kind of solution for you. You're right: it doesnt quite work, and I'm not sure that maybe it's because the kind of change you're talking about requires us to either see it in motion or across a series of images so we get a sense of direction and movement.

Very hard to put into reality. I see where you are going, I think you are 80% there, but something is amiss... having said that, not sure what would help, but I think it has to do with depth? the layers, sya from his left fore arm, which is foremost, to his right fore arm, which is furthest back, looks flat? Where the bit at the top of his left thigh is perfect, the depth works perfectly! Thanks in oart to the subtle but effective shadowing. I think the idea is worth further work.
