Mandroid says it's gonna be O-Tay! as soon as he get a few more parts and a texture file that is. having fun with the joint parameter/bendinf zones thingy!

Nifty! I like Mandroid! I want to try to build characters based on the old Micronauts toys, and I have been wondering how to go about doing the "ball joints". Is it tricky setting them up so that the sphere does not distort?

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Yes, Yes it is! Right now I'm trying to do his calves and feet but the point where the foot attaches to the shin is really screwy. Guess I'll go back and read that chapter on joint params AGAIN! Well here goes nothing... He mutters something that sounds like "see you in the funny papers" and with a twist of the dial on his captain crusader decoder ring! (POOF) he's gone.

cool! sphere's are major candidates for having the bend property turned OFF. but if the sphere is just the top of the joint, and you want smooth bending at the other end, that could be a problem. you might try using spherical falloff zones, and put the arm inside the innermat zone, but the sphere section outside the outer mat zone. that'd be tricky, though. :/
