and give Poser also again a little chance
so now this Alien Freak starts slowly to get alive ! It is not a easy model as sort of it is as if it were just a big mouth walking on arms with a tail! So it is quiet a learning curve in order to get these articulations right and then working accurate in poser and Daz Studio. He is a really funny guy, that's for sure ! the next steps will be the tongue and hopefully some additional lip movements that should be made in a secondary layer, these replace hundreds of morphs and are direct manipulations in Poser and DS



It was a looong night ! but now that Alien Freak jumped right into Daz Studio ! We want that both platforms can profit from these new high end models, naturally it gives more work but it might be worth it. Even that the Poser community has gotten very silent the past years it does not mean that there are none left that use it. Naturally it is a very big effort for just little recognition, still it is fun to show what can be done with just a little of willingness, so we sure hope that new designs like this Alien freak will burn into watchers brain so that they are remembered even if the demand might be lower then expected :)
Artists have always big dreams they love some attention in order to keep em moving and if there is not much they try to improve the works so that one day they get noted in a big crowd. This little startup project is also to show and try to keep up against all these new AI features and to show that we can do as well with our personal art, so there is a positive thing in all of this, it shows us where we can Improve our skills making better designs.

the WOW Alien got a little setback as we decided making optional genitals to the model, this might attract an larger audience, so well while we are already working hard on concepts why not make models more anatomically correct :) so the plan is to make it as conforming figure that can be optionally loaded like an outfit the the alien, naturally also fully articulated !
Working in a team with CGI professionals sure is a highlight and makes allot of fun, I wish I had made this startup already years ago. We see these models often on Platforms for industrial use, they are almost not affordable as they are made for Industrial needs such as movies, games in the newest generation etc. So why not try bringing such a boost to Poser and Daz Studio. It is sure possible to make all this alone but having a team makes more fun and results are way more effizient. Production costs are naturally higher , there is no doubt, it can be justified that the few who use it get models comparable to the top industrial models right into Poser and Daz Studio.
I see that the textures will need an ambient occlusion map to bring out underlying detail contrast in smaller crevices. Daz Studio should be able to provide this through its lighting, but Poser Superfly rendering needs a different enhancement approach, depending on whether you use the PhysicalSurface node or the Cycles node. Cycles would not require a map, but the PhysicalSurface node rendering would.

jup thank you :) right now the material setups have not been made, these are quick firefly renders in P11, had to adjust the textures to as Poser often renders darker, or needs lighter textures, Textures for other applications are often darker as they get lit up, somehow a automatic adjustment in the render engines. here I made quick tests in P13 using superfly to see how the skin and displacement maps behave, to adjust the contrast of the texture maps, getting a more accurate leather skin and avoiding these plastics ....

thank you :) .... it is never easy to get a good balance in these material settings, there are so many possibilities depending on the individual needs.Looks pretty good to me. =)

These are hard times for 3D communities and Creators as demands get lower every year, naturally also for Poser as well for DS. Prices are getting dumped so that creators lose motivations making new innovated models. Not only In poser but also in the Blender, Maya, Daz markets.
So I thought why not work with some professionals to bring in new types of models for Poser and Daz Studio on the market. We often look at these models wishing that they could be made for Poser/Ds but naturally it is stil a dream as CGI does not have allot of interest on Poser DS why should they !?
Making some investments hiring such artist or make collaboration projects might of been the solution so I thought and started last year with this project. The models are of a quality far ahead of ones released until now for Poser DS, the rigging technology is being updated on every new release to bring the best out of these sculpts.
Since almost two years it in now also possible bringing in such a technology into Daz Studio that primarily only was possible in Poser and now the new project to work with CGI Professionals specialized in Z-brush modeling to boost up the quality of these Poser DS models.
There are quiet some models in project for the coming month may be years to come if there will be any interests and also commissions are open now for special wishes that can be made in a team from sculping all the way to a final rig.
Sure aware that now day's most have big dreams and wishes, and that it might not boom as it would have a decade ago as customers sure wish but do not want to afford or invest into such.
These models will naturally have there Price, not dumping, else it would not have any future for sure and CGI pros would just walk away ... but even if there are a few that will support such a project it will get a chance ....
This is now the Second Public release in Collaboration "The Loch Ness Monster" !!!
