Many of you are aware of the performance issues affecting the site for the last few months.  Yesterday, we decided to overhaul the site's web application firewall and auto-scaling setup to get to the root of  problems.

That work is now complete and the site permissions and performance seem much better.

Please let us know here about any site problems that persist so we can address.

still getting 500 errors - had one after logging in and trying to get to this forum.  tested out a free VPN thingy - still returns a 403.  everything is still essentially locked down.  not sure how you're supposed to attract new users if they're unable to see & judge what the site is prior to registration.

i'm just confused how any of this is truly "much better"...

Today, 502 error, or simply "error" like if the site hadn't the looking page (which exists anyway)

The dev team is aware of the errors and are working on that today.

Yep, you folks are still throwing random 500 errors on pretty much every page.  Usually refreshing once or twice clears them but it doesn't give me any warm and fuzzies about trying to pay an invoice and having everything go through correctly since that page is affected too.

So far, I was able to navigate, post images and comment without issue. Seems back to the normal, thank you!

I tried to post an image and got an error message, tried again same error.  The site has been so up and sown for me lately, I sometimes give up on trying to look trough the gallery or the store

very slow initial connection/response time when coming from another site, meaning things hang just trying to get the log-in page, and back to back 502 errors after hitting log-in button/link... gotta agree with Anita here - if it's too arduous a task to simply navigate around the site, i'm not bothering anymore...

@anitalee & @Giana I have sitemailed both you directly to collect more information. Our logs and such indicate that the site has been much improved over the past 48 hours. It may be that there is something about your setup or browsing pattern that is triggering something in our firewall.
