Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Nov 15 11:51 am)
Ryan 1 (Poser 8 figure) cont'd...
I fixed his ears somewhat. I went a bit overboard with morphing and made Ryan's ear even worse. Showed my coworkers the first post I did and was blasted for screwing up the ears...again....in all these years creating, texturing, animating characters blah blah.....I have not mastered making ears; they are the bane of my existence. For some reason I can never really get it right. I thought it will be easier this time as I'm technically working on another existing mesh...but I overestimated myself. I still have not fixed the rest of his body. I think I will work on his hands next (at least fix that floating fingernail that I messed up with). Also fussed a bit on his face which is still a work in progress of course.
I'm determined to stick with Ryan until he gets fully morphed because I regretted ignoring this character years ago (I blame the bad marketing image when he was released). I need to make it up to him as an apology. Now that I'm working on it, I realized that Ryan's mesh is actually pretty good. Whomever did it included the details needed to make morphing easier. I was too dismissive and too ignorant.
This one was inspired by RedPhantom's fancy Miki render above. I like medieval/renaissance themes because it's an excuse to wear nice clothes.

FVerbaas is right. We should not forget Posette. This is a picture I did for a DA challenge in 2019
The cheval mirror is by Ness. He used to post his great stuff in the Daz3D forum. The Druuna character is by John Malls and can be found at Posetteforever.com. The eyes are from Ana, by Plus3D on Renderosity

Wow, Fverbaas! You did an awesome job with Mankahoo's Bella ... are those third party textures you used with her? I have tried to find add-ons for her without success. I really wish Ali would create some for the Marketplace for her.We did not have one for Mankahoo's Bella, right?
Time to correct that.
Please remember, if you quote another post and that post includes a nude image, your post needs to be flagged too.

Apollo Maximus with Captain Quint textures (formerly available in the RMP) with dynamic jeans swiped from L'Homme's wardrobe, designed by Tipol; Vyusur's Nova figure, the HiveWire3D house cats and various props in the background by DryJack. Rendered in Poser 11 using the Derelict Airfield HDR from PolyHaven ...
Oh, and yes, the fabulous chopper, the Black Widow III Princess, is one of Catamaran's freebies which is still available on the web; it's an OLDIE but goodie with tons of morphs. I love its detailing which makes it one of my very favorite figures! I forgot to add that the pug dog is a static prop I found on a third-party website.

You can try here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070228165629/http://www.k2.dion.ne.jp/~have/hondara2.htmTuyuko? Now that's a figure I've never heard of ... is she still available somewhere? She's cute!
Note she was made for 'kinbaku', and her main asset is 4 'rope suits' and the simple hooker garb she's wearing on the image, but of course I cannot show that here on Rendo.
She takes traditional Poser poses well.
Notre the set as it is has a few errors, mainly file names as far as I can remember. It is easily solved, however.
'Toon girl Sadie, as a pixie, discussing matters with a bluejay.

Also, this is the first render done on Megumin, my new kitchen breakfast nook PC; she's a smaller chassis than the big Area 51 girls upstairs, and she has a 16GB RTX 5080 GPU.

I think this is the predecessor of HAVE's Tuyuko, called Eroko.
She had a detachable face(!), which could be used with other figures to solve the clothing problem.

The inimitable RIKISHI:

A seldom seen side of MIKI 2:

SATOKO is not just a complete figure, but also a standalone head that can seamlessly combined with other figures via custom made neck parts.
Here I used a V2P4 base to make use of an old Posette uniform:

Finally an old custom character based on Mr Maya's MAYA-Doll:

When I first staarted using Poser the opening scene used to be Andy. He was replaced by the first iteration of LF.
She didn't appeal to me at the time, so I replaced her with James - one of the characters I used most.
Now, of course, he counts as one of our 'Golden Oldies', so I'm posting him in the Poser forum thread featuring older characters (some forgotten).
I've altered the colours of his clothes several times, and this is how he now appears when I start Poser (screenshot).
Mankahoo's Angela character (available in the Renderosity freestuff area at this link: Angela ) wearing Tipol's Long Summer Dress and one of Ali's hair figures. She takes LF2 poses very well with some minor adjustments and has quite a few morphs which is great for a freebie!
varasah For The Curse of the Temple of Doom it's James HiRes

I was having too much fun I guess and I totally ignored the fact that my account information still uses outdated email info...so Rosity auto-killed me. I hope that is the reason, since I don't think I posted anything against the TOS (I hope not). Anyway.....with a 2.0 version of me...my work on Ryan continue....
I have fixed his hands so Ryan can do more things now than just stand there... Also added his teeth and tongue back.

This is a very pretty character.

I felt sympathy for Tuyuko, having only work clothing so I made 'on the fly' some garb for her in CLO's Jinny.

For those who ask: The process is as follows:
1 - Export .obj in Poser Native scale. Zero pose.
Preparation of this model: Tuyuko has pubic hair built as facets, part of the hip. This will mess up the fit later. Just select hip, open gropup tool, select pubic hair material and delete facets.
2 - In Jinny open the .obj 'as avatar' , and say it is feet units and need to be loaded at 860% scale. Jinny then recognizes the human shape and adds an (invisible) 'fitting suit'.
3 - In Jinny, go to 'Designer mode' and load, drape and modify as you see fit. I used the default templates: The baggy pants as they are and the t-shirt I cropped and lowered the neckline.
4 - In Jinny hide the avatar and go to 'studio mode'. There check 'export FBX' box (bottom right) and export. This will put a .fbx in your downloads folder and also open CLOI's Closet. There you can delete your upload if you want.
5 - load the .fbx in Poser. Check fit, use morph brush if needed, and apply fitting room, cloth room, or setup room to proceed as usual. IIRC the setup room needs a .obj of the garment so you need to export and load first.
^^^ Wow, Hborre, those are nice! Isn't that Femasu on the right? I've got her in my runtime and should dust her off ...
By the way, this particular forum thread doesn't need to be limited to human/humanoid figures. If you've got older/lesser known animal or fantasy critters you want to show off, bring them on!
