I don't use DAZ Studio, but if it can open FBX or COLLADA files, you should be able to export your Maya scene as FBX or COLLADA and bring it into DS with no problem

You can export .obj files from Maya. I don't remember if you specifically have to enable this or it's turned on by default, but if you don't see it in the Export Selection / options box / file type drop-down list then go to Window / Plug-in Manager and enable ObjExport.mll (check loaded and Auto load).

And then what happens? If you go to the Outliner, can you see the imported object in the list?
I don't know much about DAZ Studio, but I do have a copy, so I opened it up and exported an .obj file. If I left the preferences as they were (I think the default is to export to Bryce), the object was there in the Maya scene, though quite small. If I selected Maya (1 unit = 1 cm) in the "To:" drop-down list, Maya imported the object, but you have to zoom out to see it in your scene because of the scale.
I know you said it's not an issue for you, but it would be better if you were able to import .obj files just in case you need that in the future.

Hello all...
I am not very much habituated with MAYA but know some basics. I am currently working on some indoor scene (like floor, window, door, wall bed ect). My aim is to use these meterials along with the texture maps into DAZ studio. DAZ can except .obj files or poser compatible files.
Is there any way so that I can save my scene in MAYA into those formats so that I can use them in DAZ studio along with my charecters in my render.
I dont have any plugins for this and am not ready to invest for any new plugin also :biggrin:
Any help in this regard is much appriciated....
