Subject: SreeD Versus OpenGL

Having just modeled a pistol,  I've noticed a strange occurrence when it is shown in the SreeD preview window.  It shows what appears to be a vertice shooting out into space.  In OpenGL preview, as well as the finished render, everything looks fine.  Since I will be putting this model up as a freebie, I wonder if anyone knows of a fix for this?  Or is this just one of them Poser bugs and I should just simply ignore it ?

It's not a fault in your model.  Both OpenGL and Sreed sometimes do this....
they forget the correct location of some vertices and put them at 0,0 instead
of the proper location in 2d space.  Result: some facets stretch up
to the upper left corner of the display.  Usually a driver update will solve it.

I get it sometimes but as it doesn't render, I just ignore it

OK, that's good to know.  Thanks ockham.

Actually, it can be a fault in the model. Make sure you don't have NGONS floating around. These are polys with more than 4 sides. They generally don't smooth well and if you're exporting, some formats don't like them.
