Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2026 Mar 10 6:08 pm)
Quote - You can't win this one. Whatever size you make it, it will be too big for some, too small for others, and the ones for whom it's just right will never say so. :)
Oh yeah?
I usually post at around 1280 x 960 and that's just fine for me. I don't much mind big images provided there's enough detail and visual image to merit it. What gets my goat is huge images with badly artefacted compression and/or low res textures and blurry renders. Waste of time, IMO.
Preference, I guess, is anything from 1200 x 900 to 1600 x 1200.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
900x1500, 1024x768 or 1440x900 - depends on what it is and which PC needs the desktop :)

I'm starting to think that 800 x 600 is too small these days.
Because most people use much higher screen resolutions and most have broadband.
I'm finding it increasingly hard to appreciate images that take up only a third of my screen or less.
I also generally use as close to possible to max file size to maintain image quality.
Depending on where I am submitting the image I prefer 1024x768 but have posted images larger. Usually when I render in Poser it is default size (560x534), just to see what the scene looks like. I have been using Carrara for most of my renders and have been doing them at 1024x768.

Seriously tho - I am curious what size do you feel is best for posting your work @ Rendo? I use photoshop's "save fro web" function that allows me to tweak it a lot so I was just curious as to what you - my peers thought of this?
