Is this what you wanted ? It's created in Vue ! If I almost misunderstand, please give more details.

Exactly what I wanted, does this material work for any shape (terrain, pyramid, etc) or just for the cube. Let me know how you did it, my e-mail is jarm@netcomuk.co.uk or reply here. Many thanks, precisely what I was after.

I send you the very small Vue file by mail. This goes for all primitives (without the sphere of course), but not for terrains, as the edges are not regular. Here I used boolean differences.

Oh yes, bloodsong ! I did not know any body else were interested. This needs a tutorial. I will create it and then announce it here. I may need a few days for it, as I'm very busy with my work. But I already have uploaded at the Vue free stuff section the VUE file for it.
