Turn the sss scale down. This was using Sabby's Rochelle tex, which is sort of dark anyway. SSS scale was set to .1 in EZSkin2, skin 1, lighter skin would use a slightly higher setting. You have to be careful or you'll get the blue tint between the toes and fingers.
Used Blackhearted's ProStudio lights (Dutch Masters I believe) with GC off, IDL on and no envsphere FWIW

Win 10, I7, P11 Pro I'm quite pleased with the new update, really like the new morph brush updates (after I got used to them). More than pleased with Render in Background when using Cycles.
As far as Genesis or DSON, I can't say anything, don't use any of it.

Honestly, I don't think there will ever be another V4 in the hobby 3d market, considering the (IMO) fractured state of the hobby as a whole.

You can temporarily prevent updates from reinstalling (until the next update of that update)

If you are interested, I keep a bare metal server leased with Softlayer at one of their Dallas datacenters for my go kart racing site, which is currently handling around 12,000 unique visitors per day and around 100,000 page views per day.
I've been running bare metal servers for my site since 1998, currently running 2008 R2 and IIS on a 64bit Xeon with a 20,000 GByte (20 TerraBytes) monthly data allowance. So data transfer would be no problem whatsoever.
While, I'm not a php programmer, I'm quite adept at php and server configuration and would be more than happy to try to get it set up and running. Or: Maybe you might prefer a WordPress content management system that you can set up yourself.
My reason for offering this is that I've always felt Antonia is one of the underrated figures in all of Poser and would like to help.
So, BluEcho- sitemail me with details of what you have if you're interested. I believe we could get this going pretty quickly.
PS- All free and clear. I don't require or want compensation.

I'm more curious as to why Pro11 is reading an addon installed in the 2014 runtime, or why Reality shows up under Render in Pro11. Shoot, it will even open if you click on it.

Well, since I've been using V4 with X&M's Perfect morphs and some of i13's squish products for some time now, in DAZ Studio, that's not really an issue. True, DS doesn't have access to the weight-mapped figures, but if I need better bending, I'll use my Genesis 2 figures.
IMO, this Smith-Micro - DAZ software war is just silly, especially since it's my opinion that the entire 3d hobby market is shrinking, big time. The winner will be whoever can come up with an application that makes pron figures on a smart phone. :-)
By the way, the best V4 setup for Studio IMO is Erogenesis's Lali. For poser I like V4WM with my favorite Lali morphs.

In Poser we've come to expect V4 to work much better than it does in Studio, because of deals like V4wmas, V4-WM, X&M's Perfect, i13's Overhaul, etc.

I have Poser Pro 2014 and i render with LuxRender. I tried to enable Subdivision in LuxRender and edited the Crease angle, but both just worsened the problem.
Here is a picture of Victoria 4 - under extreme lighting conditions it is very visible (look at the shoulder). Is there any trick?
If you're using Reality 4.1 with Lux 1.5, there's a problem with SSS in extreme light. The mesh lines start showing up as white. Turning off SSS in the Reality material editor makes the problem go away.
Thread: Where did it all go wrong? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm no prude here, and I don't really care about nudes in the gallery, however I will say that I do appreciate the forums without the skimpy clothes that used to be in the ads on the right side. I work at home and sometimes I'd feel slightly embarrassed when my wife or daughter would walk in my room. On the other hand, I'm guessing the vendors don't appreciate it because nearly every purchase I made was an impulse buy from clicking on one of those ads, and I'd bet I'm not the only one.
On the whole, it seems to me like the whole hobby CG deal is nowhere near the level is was a few years ago, even at CGSociety the activity seems down compared to what it used to be, and substantially so. Some of the larger Poser/Daz forums are increasing cookie length so it appears there is more activity than there actually is.
I guess things come and things go, interests fade, and people also come and go.
Thread: Why does the morph brush sometimes not do anything? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sometimes the morph level sets itself to 0 for no apparent reason. If you dial it back to 1 it comes back, and usually you have to use the restore brush or delete the morph you were working on when it wasn't responding because it's overmorphed. :-)
