If I'm not wrong. the Poser11 generation only support up to the 20xx family, it's a question of technology: the 30xx and 40xx families are too recent for Poser11, and the Superfly part needed an huge upgrade for this to happen.I haven't used Poser 11 in ages having moved to 12 and then 13 as they came out. Back when I used Poser 11 I only used CPU rendering but I wanted to test something out and it appears that my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 does not work in Poser 11. Can this be confirmed or is it something in my settings?

Thread: a BIG prop (theater) I cannot negotiate in... | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Sometimes, to navigate in a scene with a lot of stuff, I find easier to select a part of a body and to orbit + zoom in/out from there.
Selecting a full body create larger movements, not always centered. Selecting a hip/head will force the cam to turn around it ( activate the orbit mode, else you'll have a kind of inversed effect.)
The shortcuts I use the most:
- space key + left button: pan
- alt key pressed + mouse's left button = orbit around the selected object
- ctrl + space keys pressed + mouse's left button = zoom in/out
With the last tip: by alternatively pressing / relaxing only the Ctrl key, you may rapidly position your cam.

And don't forget to save your work on the material settings in the library, so that you'll be able to create alternative ones, if neededTracked down those darn textures! Assigning them as it asks on import is taking forever, but once done I should be ok.... I hope.

Thread: old DSON Content, how to use? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Don't forget that you may often use any dform-based genesis-oriented clothes, exported as pure wavefront ojbect and use them in Poser's cloth room.
That way, even if you loose the benefit of any existing morphs, the dynamic part compensate largely.
Brielle, an Aiko3 character, wearing a Gen8-oriented dform top.
I recently bought a pure daz chair: the Bubble Chair. Exported as Collada object. Poser knows how to import those DAE format, too:

Thread: Bug? - Changing Temp File Paths in Poser Pro 2012 does not work. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One of them is under two gpus, guess how fast it is in that environment???? It is presently at 61c, idle, and it is never fast for that very reason..... I am presently building a AI model, which is why it is so warm........ It is just use that SSD as a scratch drive, so it doesn't really matter if it is slow.....
It's the same in my tower, in which the SSD under the GPU keeps all my Poser executables and runtimes.
But in my case, the crew that design the tower had the great idea to put three 12" fans pulling fresh air in the tower, plus three on top behind the liquid intercooler, so that the air flows through the box with a certain consistency.
Result: the lower SSD is below 30°C (86°F) most of the time, while the one above the GPU (Windows drive) is commonly between 43°C and 50°C (110°F to 122°F)
That being said: thank you for the info about the SSD: both render and movie cache folder were effectively pointing to a fast SATA drive, but bot Poser's temp folder. Setting changed.

Thread: Locate Function Following Library Search | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have completely stopped to double-click anything in this window because even in the 12 version: it's completely incoherent and I was always forgetting that double-clicking on a material setting, be it in the standard hierarchy or in the favorites part, it simply and always replace replace your current material.

Thread: What do you want to see in the way of tutorials for Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not being really fluent in English, I tend to avoid video only based tutorials. I'm trying my best to follow some, but it's difficult for me.
Luckily, those found on this website are 100000x better than practically 99.9999% of the video for Blender:
- looks like they are using screens with 1'000'000 pixels horizontally, resulting in a zoomed out view in which very few details can be correctly seen
- and honestly they should look at an adult movie BEFORE recording their vids as most of the time, they're moving 100x too fast.
This is really important: a video tutorial should NEVER be a kind of animated reminder for someone who already knows

Thread: How to save positioning of Infinite Lights | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Try this: parent your infinite light to a dedicated group, let the light stay at 0,0,0 and change the group's angles accordingly to your tastes.
To parent the light, I'm right-clicking in the Hierarchy window.
