Subject: Electric Image/3d Toolkit tutorials?

Anyone know where I might find some? I just got hold of a trial copy of 3d toolkit but it only lasts 30 days and I don't want to load it till I've got something to work on :o) There's nothing on their website so I've come home to my favorite website! I'm mainly interested in organic modelling and need pretty basic help! Thanks in advance Baz

I just bought the tool kit, should arrive tomorrow. go to www.dvgarage.com or www.universe3d.com and you'll find some movies on how to use it. Also, there are forums and some links to tuts. The kit boasts 3 gigs of video tuts. That said, I'm going to start a thread and see if there's enough interest for osity to start a EI forum. Email me if you want, I suspect there will be some links to tuts on the cd's and when I find the web sites I'll be glad to post the url's.

Hmmm, I've already posted a reply to this, disappeared into the ether again, havn't had that problem for a while! Thanks for the info Eric, I found the movies but couldn't get them to run, missed the tutorials though so I'll go and have another look. Do you know how well 3d toolkit works with Poser for morphs and modelling? That would be my main interest to begin with. Thanks for your help, I may well be in touch! :o) Baz

Baz, I have it installed now. Its not super poser friendly. I think Lightwave is better at integration. It will import and export .fac format and there is an obj/fac converter out by a third party which might make the difference. Amorphium pro will convert as well and that can do some organic changes. I didn't see any url's on the disks. Seems to be entirely video and pdf files for the training. I think the pdf's are available at www.universe3d.com when you get the demos.

Thanks Eric, I found the pdf's at universe3d.com, dvgarage is offline at the moment for updating. Shame about the format but you get Amorphium Pro with it don't you? Conversion would be about the only thing I'd use it for though. I tried it once and couldn't do a thing with it, Zbrush is MUCH better if you want that kind of modeller. Anyway I'll download some tutorials and give it a go! Thanks for the info! Baz
