Hey everyone,
I’m not one for sappy speeches, and I’m definitely not here for sympathy. But I’ve got something to share, and I hope it hits you hard—in the best way. Two months ago, I had a stroke. A blood clot went from my heart to my brain. I’d spent a year pouring my soul into building this Summer Picnic Event before that happened. Then came heart surgery, and let me tell you, waking up to surgeons scrambling over an arterial bleed from a surgical mishap wasn’t exactly on my 2025 vision board.
But none of that matters. What matters is this: lying in that hospital bed, staring at the ceiling through endless nights, my biggest fear wasn’t about me. It was about this—our event, our community, our art. I was terrified I wouldn’t make it back in time to launch this Summer Picnic. Getting here felt like pushing a bulldozer up a mountain, but I’m here, and so are you.
Here’s what I need you to hear, straight from my heart: don’t stop creating. We’ve all been through changes—big, messy, soul-shaking changes. You know what they are; no need to rehash them. But don’t let them dim your fire. Keep making art. Keep doing what sets your soul alight. I haven’t posted stories in months—writing’s my thing, but the stroke hit my vision hard. I’m almost there, though, and I’ll be back at it soon.
In those long hospital nights, one thought kept me going: I have to tell them. I have to tell you—don’t quit. Don’t ever stop. Keep creating, keep sharing, keep shining. That’s what this event is about, and that’s what we’re all about. Let’s make this summer unforgettable.

Oof, that's rough. I'm glad to hear that you're better now, and back at it. Very inspirational speech though, thank you for sharing :)Mid-Point Summer Picnic Event Speech

I'm in a really generous mood this morning. I've been working on building the Halloween Contest module, which is always fun for me because I like creating the lead line and description, and then the promo images... plus there's a bit of a surprise this year, can't wait to see the reaction... so, anyway, since I'm feeling generous, here's a hint; a lot of you are guessing way too low. I know, I was surprised too when I sat down and counted it out. It's the blueberries that throw you off. I recounted several times because I couldn't believe it was that high. Okay, so, on an unrelated side note; after the stroke, the doctor told me to eat tons of mackerel because it's a super brain food for healing, but Most of the mackerel I've found is gross, but I eat it anyway....but, the other day I found mackerel in jalapeño sause, and omgosh it's good.

I think Wolf said we'd eat some until it matches someone's guess

My gut told me that I shouldn't have eaten that runny, smelly cheese at the bottom of the picnic basket that nobody else had touched. Unfortunately my gut didn't tell me that until a few minutes after I'd eaten it, with the result that I've been stuck in the latrines - at least I hope it's the latrine and not the hole they dug in preparation for the ceremonial tree planting...My gut says 372, but my gut is usually wrong!

And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

That sounds really awful - glad you're still with us !...
And don't forget that a wise man once said something like "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger".
Then again eating that runny, smelly cheese didn't kill me - but I wouldn't say it made me stronger. So maybe he wasn't so wise after all?

Well at least it ended up in the right place, after a bonus bit of organic bioconversion

Asking another aunt of mine, Auntie Jasmine (not cheating as she's an AJ, not an AI) , she told me that if you study Wolfenshire's phrase closely two things stand out. Firstly it says 'a lot of you', not just 'some of you' and not 'most of you'. Secondly it doesn't just say 'too low', it says 'way too low'. She then quickly crocheted a matrix showing all the guesses that had been made up to that point, held it up for me to examine and, with a swig of bourbon and a puff of her cigar, asked me in her sweet little voice, "Soooo... ?"
