AI Generated Art F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Aug 27 11:07 am)

Very realistic. Must look up this AI Art Hub, see what they're about. Hopefully more about art than the trolls and such that seem to be all over most of the Facebook AI groups I've ran across.
The tech and models are indeed evolving. I just ran some of my very first SD prompts in the version I'm using now, which is still about 3 builds behind. And I am amazed at what I see.
Prompt: god of love, Cupid, 20 years old, male, gorgeous, detailed face, amazing, thighs!!! flowers, intricate, highly detailed, digital painting, artstation, concept art, sharp focus, illustration
1.3.1 version, NMKD Gui Stable Diffusion gave me this. And I had to invoke two of the Artists Whose Names Must Not Be Spoken just to get it (sorta) useable.

Without Face Restoration or negative prompts -- those hadn't been invented yet. Later I did find an online fixer/upscaler that improved it a bit. Would still need much post work to be good, especially the eyes.
Skip ahead 8 months and here's what the same prompt brings me. With absolutely no need to invoke any particular artist or style. Still needs upscaling if I want bigger. But the quality. Yep, big difference. Also probably helps that I'm not using the basic SD model, then again, there was just the one that came with back in September.

Tomorrow I'll revisit the Aphrodite renders I attempted back then. Most were, shall we say, less than befitting a Goddess of Beauty. I've a feeling this time she won't need to go around the temple wearing a paper bag. ;-)
He is indeed.
And unlike 1.3, neither the arrow nor his hand is borked beyond fixing. I also ran some forest god renders, those were the original prompt some guy on Discord came up with to get good male characters. I just adapted them as needed. This new version & model has my old ones sitting in the dust:

Can't wait to see what next versions will bring.

that business model must be working out for themWell, I can't say I'm surprised to hear that I'll never be able to reinstall my copy of Vue anymore. I haven't used it probably since 2006 any way.
I stopped buying their stuff once I couldn't use it as program was locked to a computer that died
maybe some like a sunk cost fallacy
Ladylake - Your surreal day at the beach is a new fav, you should try a few more... ;)
Steve - Anne McCaffery, Dragon Riders Of Pern, also an excellent fantasy novel series!
DG - Cool America's! There is a female British one in an alternate universe I like, Peggy Carter...
Wendy V - I remember trying to render volumetric god rays in my Vue Studio version back in the day. A render could take about 8 hours or more, if I was lucky it didn't crash half way through, lol. Ah, wasn't that all the fun you expected eh...
Some Uptown Fashionable Steampunkishness...what can I say!
Porcupine Tree: Arriving somewhere but not here

Remember...No matter where you go there you are
A 3day weekend here in the States, not that it matters much to me I can always take the day off I'm retired emphasis on the tired part. Memorial Day, a reminder of those past 3 brothers, 4 sisters, Mom and Dad and all the brothers lost in Combat...this Bud's for you and I don't mean Beer, blasted since sunrise so don't mind me things just get stranger by the minute.
Porcupine Tree - Stranger By The Minute
Some uh, well Fractal elements some Macro elements some Iridescent Translucence and like that

Remember...No matter where you go there you are
Been on a real Porcupine Tree binge so far today gotta love it.
Porcupine Tree - Russia on Ice
Decided to binge on some illustrative Biker stuff too, thinking about a new Bike Build IRL too, found a 64 Pan motor with modified SU carb setup same basic motor as my current 64 Pan except I'm gonna do one W/O the Suicide foot clutch and Jockey Shift, can probably get 20-30k for my current Pan to finance it be a good summer project.
Anywho on with the illustrating...OG Bikers

"'tweener in red' the drawing of a chopper man, in the style of mallgoth" instead of "Bearded old Biker, in the style of David Mann" ...The u-turn was one take on tweener in red prompt and did a variation on that frame got 4 more similar but every other variation I tried went back to Bikes, that beats the hell outa me.
Just a change in style...surprising how much it can make a difference, its know your medium and style not everything works...i've been in the same position, thinking holy Sh!$ how..did i manage to do that...!!
You bring the spooky, I'll bring the silly.
Hands borked but the rest ... ::giggle::
You're welcome. I have better beach Snapes than that of course, and I'll be posting some later. Most of them were quite moody, however, until I reminded him ol' Moldyshorts is gone, there are no Deatheaters or dunderheads left to deal with, and everybody else with a grudge thinks he's dead. Cheered him up considerably, that did, so he started cutting loose.

I love the fractal stuff
the bikers pretty cool too
Still got Harley's on the brain today, already pulled the Sporty out of mothballs and got it roadworthy (really showed me how bad my Ribs still are) and showed how afraid I am of the Pan with the suicide clutch and Jockey shift with these Ribs. Turns out that 64 Pan motor I found isn't strictly a HD 64 pan but a 101ci SS modified motor with SU carbs setup(interesting!). going into town to check it out tomorrow and put my 64 Pan up for sale...here we go again, thinking something along the lines of Dennis Hoppers ride in Easyrider.
King Crimson - Waiting Man (The Noise - Live At Fréjus 1982)
Summers here and Riding is on my Brain...painterly style
