Bonjour
I was using Carrara 7 pro with transposer 2 and vectorstyle 2 plugins when i was with VIsta 64 bits edition and everything worked fine
Last week i changed my OS for Windows 7 (clean install)
I have resetted my account at DAZ for downloading last versions of Carrara Pro 7 (installation was ok) and transposer 2 for carrara 7 and Vectorstyle for carrara 7
And now neither my plugins seems works
I have for example tried transposer. In windows dialogue i choose the correct runtime for Poser 6 and tried to open or import an old file created with Poser 6
the dialogue window close but nothing other arrive: no imported file

Some suggestion ??
Thanks

PS native import is ok not transposer import

Carrara Pro 7 doesn't include TransPoser 2 already?

Actually, I recently switched from XP to Vista 64 and Transposer 2 completely stopped working. I'm getting used to doing all of my Poser work within Carrara, but I have a lot of Poser content that simply doesn't work in Carrara-or doesn't work properly.
I'm not sure what the exact story is, but DAZ did update Transposer 2 when Carrara 7 came out, but it sounds like it's becoming obsolete. I still like using Transposer because it's very light on resources.
My advice is to contact DAZ and see what they say; and let us know here :)

I'm guessing you need a 64-bit version of Poser for a 64-bit version of TransPoser to work.

I have W7 64 bit.
I have loaded all my apps without problems. (vertually all 32 bit)
Apart from the Carrara7 Runtime, I consolidated all my Poser Runtimes into one and that is, also, now in the Carrara Content Browser.

I have no Poser app installed but can, fully, access ALL that old Poser stuff into Carrara--NO PROBLEMS.

Brian-
The main problem I'm having is with shoes! My guess is that any Poser conforming shoes that were modeled around a posed foot (instead of the default V4 base) don't "line up" in Carrara.
The other issue is that certain hair props won't accept their MAT poses in Carrara. This is a known issue that's not really widespread.
Shawn-
I think I'm just about done with Poser anyway. Maybe somebody's trying to tell me something :)

Smith Micro and DAZ3D are not exactly development partners.  TransPoser came from the old Eovia and Curious Labs partnership.

I know; Transposer support ended with Poser 6.
I don't know what the situation is now, but I see DAZ is selling Poser suddenly!
Honestly, Poser is pretty much a glorified plug-in for my current pipeline; Carrara pretty much does it all :)

There are people out there who have SDK's and are programming plugins and bridges for DAZ3D and Smith Micro Graphics.  But the content is still copyrighted to the original author.

I only use Poser (6) for the Walk Designer, and for easy posing (save them to use in Carrara animations). Also for creating conforming clothing meshes I've created in Hexagon. (fast/easy in poser to slap a skelly on a clothing mesh)

I end up taking my customized conformed clothes and using the tools in Carrara to fine tune them in the vertice modeler room (than using magnets in poser) much easier to do this in Carrara modeler.
Creating Carrara-Hair is easy in Carrara, tho tough going with animations for simulation/render-time, but all that calculating stuff always consumes much time (so much trial/error, lol).

Remember, a lot of stuff for Poser was made in Carrara in the first place--going back to early versions of Carrara!,

So, if you have problems, just remake things in Carrara!

Poser is a plugin---not the main app.

Thanks for your comments I have reinstall both of the plugin Now Vector style is working See this Poser file saved in Poser7pro loaded in Carra using native importer ,exported in Adobe illustrator format (.ai) Loaded after in Illustrator and saved BMP format The flash format(.swf) working good also and loaded directly with Internet explorer

 Transposer still not working
But transposer 2 and Carrara 7 pro were working correctly when i was on Vista 64 bits  so it is not because 64 bits
But native importer works ok even i try with a Poser 7 created files so it is not really Poser
I thinks  the problem is relative to the plugin

The next question then is... Do you have Administrator rights on your computer?  Some apps won't completely install if you are just a Power User.

Yes I have administrator rights

Jcleaver ( ) posted Tue, 03 November 2009 at 8:28 AM

I am assuming you have Poser 6 installed.  Transposer does not work with Poser 7 or 8.  At least, that is what happened for me.

martial ( ) posted Tue, 03 November 2009 at 9:06 AM

Yes
i also installed again Poser 6 ,Poser 5 ,Poser 7 ,Poser 7 pro and Poser 8

I have the shoe problem in Carrara 7, too, but only with shoes from certain vendors.  Most of the shoes will conform just fine, but there are still a couple where the shoes just won't line up.  I've contacted the vendors about the problem, but they either never responded or were unable to find a solution.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it's the new security thing introduced since Vista that's having fun and games with your install.

It might be in a folder called VirtualStore somewhere.
