Finally finished up the program and the web page. I'm posting notice here first since this forum is my most productive user base. Thanks to Varian and mjustmike for beta test help. Thanks to Verdie and now Dolly for their enthusiatic modeling with Shapemaker. Rich

Hey thanks Rich--- I'm looking forward to seeing how this one "behaves", and I'll probably use it more too. I have since had the "extra, unexplained polygon" thing happen many more times, to the point of being fairly predictable. Rod and Tube does a teriffic "capped extrude" function, something I've never seen in any of the free programs I know of. You are well on your way towards bigger and better things, you know, and you're really starting to make me want to look into Hyper Studio some more. :) I'm gonna download this thing and play with it right now, and I hope I can have something to show with it soon. Cheers, and THANKS! Mike

Thanks so much, Rich! I've already had a lot of fun with this one, and I'm expecting to be doing a lot more with it. :)

Yes Rich, thanks again. Here's my first thing I made with it and rendered in Vue-- (Of course!) This is my first attempt at making this pic I would like to do, and the "star" was made with the new Rod and Tube Factory, and has Vue procedural materials applied to it. No post work on this, but I imagine that with Painter I could get it to look a little more like what I want. Certainly not R&T's fault, but seemingly my inability to get Vue to make those soft edges I would like the star to have. Looking forward to Vue 4! Cheers, Mike
