Anything Grows is nice - but may not be the total answer. Using the surface replicator is probably your best bet. For the image shown at the link above, I simply make a couple of clumps-of-grass and then replicated it across the terrain. You could us Anything Grows to help with the clump. When Anything grows first came out, I did [ this](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=217419&member) image with it.You can use the hair system C6Pro, I saw many renders done with it to create grass fields, some are at Daz gallery.

No problem, but I never tried to do that using the hair in C6, I just saw some works here and at Daz gallery.

This is very good, think that can do a great animation for blowing wind in the grass

Recently I've been looking at ways to create grass for my scene, and I'd like to go beyond using texture maps and create actual 3d grass. Namely, I'll need a field of regular grass approximately 100 by 100 feet with the camera about 30 feet away, tilted downwards about 10-30 degrees. I'd like to explore free solutions, but I'm not opposed to something that I need to pay for. Any ideas? Thoughts?
Edit: I found out about Digital Carvers' Guild "Anything grows"-does anyone know if I can use it to create a field that large using my machine (core 2 duo, 3 gb RAM)?
