Subject: Controling the way bright light washes out colors?

I have a bulb light with lens flare, some glow from one character. A second character in close proxmity the first receives some of this light with the consequence that the brightness of the light washes out some of the color. Is there a way to control or compensate for this washing out of colors under lighting effects? Thanks, James

If this helps, you can adjust the strength of the light AND you can have individual lights which each ONLY shine on selected items--each light of individual strength/colour etc. And, importantly, adjust, even delete, the strength of shadows relative to each light.
