Been pissing rain here for the last 3 weeks as some winter rain moves over the island chain. Feeling much better now days, but can't get out much to shoot cause of the rain. So boredom has overcome me and I thought I would throw up another challenge image I took earlier this month before the rains came. Just a shot of a wave about 100 yrds. offshore, using my 100-400mm. This shot never made my gallery, so I thought this would be a better place for it! Aloha everyone, and I hope you having better weather than we are at this time! Dave~

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Oh man, isn't nature awsome?! Too bad you couldn't get some dam breaking photos...that would have qualified! Say dry and have fun with the drops.

Incredible capture. Nature can be so awe inspiring. Magnificent is all I gotta say Andreas said the rest !

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

My friend just got back from Maui and was showing me some the wave images he did. I came into this site to show him yours and he just sort of gulped. I always look forward to your waves.... Added to Challenge page

Aloha Noeline...This wave is on a normal day...when we have swells here they are much bigger.....The waves on this side of the island are bigger during the summertime... Thanks everyone for your kind comments...! Aloha!

Thanks Joe...this is actually a normal day on this side of island...I hope to get some better shots when the waves actually start to roll in...This wave is in the 4-6 ft. range...summer swells can produce 8-12 ft. waves...of course it's a little more tricky to get shots then...but I will give it the ole college try when it happens...Have a great evening! Aloha!
