Renderosity Digital Art Community and Caligari Corporation Launch Interactive 3D Gallery
Real-Time Shared 3D Space Displays Artwork from Leading Renderosity Digital Artists
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) April 10, 2007 - The Renderosity Digital Art Community, in cooperation with Caligari Corporation, the producer of award-winning 3D modeling, rendering and animation software, today announced the Premiere Opening of the Renderosity 3D Gallery.
The Renderosity 3D Gallery was created using the truePlace software platform designed by Caligari. Visitors will be immersed in a realistic, beautifully lit, modern art gallery where they have experience the sensation of walking through a traditional, brick-and-mortar gallery, viewing each of the images on display while mingling with other gallery patrons. Attendees can have live, real-time text or voice chat discussions with anyone present in the gallery as they move about and enjoy the art.
"truePlace is a perfect fit for creating and hosting an event like this," said Roman Ormandy, president and CEO of Caligari Corporation. "It's designed for social networking events for fun or business where users truly interact with each other. Best of all, truePlace is extremely intuitive to use and shared environments can be created with minimal effort."
"We chose Caligari as a partner to create this 3D Gallery because of the customization and personal feel that you get using truePlace," said Jenifer Carey, VP of Renderosity. "It allows us to host many participants in one space and lets attendees have control over their whereabouts and discussions. The level of detail in truePlace offers an environmental feeling of really being there."
In honor of this very special event, there will be an Exclusive Gallery Showing featuring the work of Matthieu [Matthieu Roussel], Renderosity 2006 Artist of the Year. Mr. Roussel will provide live commentary as attendees tour his artwork on Monday, April 16th from 9:00am-10:am (CST).
