Artist Community Experience Done Right

Revolution

We at Renderosity are extremely excited as we reveal the culmination of months of work aimed at making your experience both seamless and unique. Recognizing that no two individuals expect the same site experience, we've reinvented how information is presented to our user based on what is most relevant to them.

Homepage & New Activity Feed

Renderosity's new homepage includes a link to an Activity Feed. This personalized stream of information will contain news and updates based upon previous actions that you have taken. This might include; a new gallery posting from an artist you're following, various site announcements and promotions, a MarketPlace vendor that you follow uploads a new product, a favorite artist uploads an item to the Freestuff area and so much more. You even have the option to turn on 'Live Notifications' in your member profile to be instantly notified of various activities from artists you follow. All of this, along with the added ability to filter this content, allows you to find the right information at the right time!

Are you excited? We thought so. Before you begin your tour, please take a moment to review a few more points of interest that we thought you'd like.

Member Profile

Do you see your avatar at the top right-had side of the site? Yup. That's the one! We'd ask that you click that and find where it says 'View Profile' and begin the process of editing and/or updating this section to ensure you get the most out of this and subsequent visits to our site. It's here where you can manage your Renderosity persona with options like; artist skill level, your favorite software applications, whether or not you'd like to receive Renderosity newsletters, social networking sites where users might find you outside of Renderosity, gallery uploads, freestuff contributions, etc. The best thing about our new profile pages is that when you visit another member's profile you can see all of their site contributions. No longer must you jump from Gallery to Freestuff to Marketplace. It's all right there!

We didn't stop there. For many of you our MarketPlace, Galleries and Freestuff area is where you spend most of your time. You'll probably notice that throughout each of these areas a variety of new features have been added. Let's start with the MarketPlace.

MarketPlace

In the MarketPlace dropdown there is now a For You section that contains Tailored, Recommended and Vendor results. The Tailored area is going to display a variety of products based on your previous purchases. This criteria includes; the vendor that produced the purchased product, the figure(s) that you purchase for and/or the software your purchases are compatible with. If you have yet to make a MarketPlace purchase, we'll then show you a variety of trending products based on likes and visits over the previous 3 months. Recommended items that are shown will be based on artists that you follow and a randomized list of products that your followed artist has liked or viewed. If you have yet to follow any particular artist, we'll simply show you some of the most visited products from around our MarketPlace. Lastly, if you should sort by Vendors, you'll find a list of vendors that are recommended by people who you follow but you yourself are not yet following. Whew! That's a lot of information. Not to worry. Once you begin creating your very own Renderosity experience through your member profile, the MarketPlace will be your favorite place to visit for great new releases and discovery of new vendors!

Galleries & Free Stuff

If you find yourself comfortable in understanding the changes and logic within the MarketPlace, the Galleries and Freestuff area should be a breeze! Much like the MarketPlace, the Galleries also have a For You section and its Recommended filter will display customized content based on who you follow and who that artist has liked and viewed. Should you click on Artists you'll then be shown a group of individuals that are recommended to you but not currently following.

Within Freestuff you'll see Trending and Most Wanted areas that will give you a snapshot of the most popular free items on the site. In Trending you can view items that have been liked, viewed and favorited over various time periods. Now (last 24 hours), Weekly (last 7 days) and Monthly (last 30 days). Most Wanted simply refers to items that were actually downloaded with similar time periods as Trending.

Are you a user of Renderosity's Sitemail? You'll be happy to know that you can now send sitemail(s) to multiple recipients, sort by unread messages and we've even added a search field to find previous messages that you may want to refer back to. You'll also notice a stacked style format that will allow you to more easily follow along with one or more conversations.

Sitemail

Renderosity's sitemail system (along with forum posts, article commenting, etc.) will all be composed using Markdown language. Markdown translates quickly to perfectly-formed HTML. No missing closing tags, no improperly nested tags and no blocks left without containers. With a variety of syntax options, a user can get as creative as they'd like or just keep things simple with plain text. Either way, the result will be consistent and render properly no matter the device on which it's being viewed.

Advertising Portal

Looking for more ways to promote your vendor store or brand? We're excited to announce the arrival of Renderosity's Advertising Portal. It's here where you can learn more about the advertising options that are available to you, how you can purchase desired advertising space and how to track the performance of your campaign(s). Whether you're an advertiser looking to reach an engaged group of digital artists and technophiles or a Renderosity Vendor looking to broaden your site exposure - we've got the tools that will help in reaching your marketing goals!

Are you ready? Let's Go! We're glad to have you here and look forward to continuing our quest in providing you the best community driven art site on the web!
