Quite a macro of your watch..! I love the tight crop of the mechanism. It has my mind ticking, as does your title! Clive

So pleased with myself! I guessed from the title in the ebot..not bad for 1st thing in the morning! A really great composition, very satisfying, if you know what I mean-- It's like the perfect angle fo a portait, 3/4 on with the nose just breaking the cheekline..but in metal.

Agree with Rob! With such a great title, how can you miss? Having seen this in color first...this sepia toning is far superior...the highlights just pop where before I was less aware of them due to all the competing colors. One antique clock...but I saw the top...you saw the inner workings. We certainly saw and captured completely different images. Well done x 10:)

Oh Hun - if you feel as sick as I feel today the title wouldn't help even a little! I am soooo blonde today! Wonderful shot of this intruiging inner workings and gears! Love it!

I love the title, and of course it had me wondering which non-spatial continuum, but maybe that's because I'm also immersed in a wompin' big novel by Neal Stephenson. Cryptonomicon. It's a hoot. It's over 1100 long (in paperback) and it's fully of...well...cryptography, data manipulation (old school data manipulation) codes and code breaking...heck, it's even got a long description on the proper milk to cereal ratio required for the maximum enjoyment of Capt'n Crunch. It's got Alan Turing, Nazis, WWII, and eventually the WWW. In short, after slogging through the first 340+ pages of that fever dream, I see an image like this and know what it is, but something slips and I think: an Enigma machine? A difference Engine? WOW! COOL! And then I realize from the title again, that it's a physical representation of a nonspatial continuum...and still my mind goes off on all sorts of tangents, including a very pronounced feeling that you'd see something like this in Ükür, Agara, or one of those other European Fringes I seem to fond of writing about. And having said all of that, I have to also say that I love this photograph; the details are amazing as is the light. Those intricate works are just marvelous. Yeah, this is quite a goodie! And I wonder what a guy from Ükür would have to say about it...hmmm...he'd probably get all hinky and decide that he really wants to be somewhere else before those gears start moving!
