Another flower from our whirlwind tour through the Conservatory at Volunteer Park, with a bit of postwork for that painterly feel I love so much.

Wonderful image!!!
Wonderful soft colors and the veins create a nice texture for the petals.
Lovely Tara. What type is it? Some kind of Hibiscus perhaps?
Very beautiful capture.
Nice capture and colour .. well done!!
Your painterly effect is wonderful--it's a most unusual flower as well!!
Fine bloom...next time I'll take pictures of the names of these exotic flowers. Good eye...:)
That is so lovely Tara. A strange and wonderful portrait of a flower :-)))

Lovely photo and postwork, Tara! Beautiful rich colors!
very lovely
great catch.........
This is quite delicate. I like the textures especially, and I'm quite taken by those dark patches on the petals. They remind me of eyespots or something nicely alien...but that's not surprising, I tend to go for that alien thing quite a lot whenever I see something. I'm weird like that! I love the fact that if I were so inclined, I could count pollen grains on this! I'll refrain from that and just sit back and enjoy the view. This is a great piece of work!
This is great and slightly surreal. At first I thought it was one of those strange jellyfish I used to see in National Geographic when I was a kid. Nice post work. What the heck kind of flower is this anyway?
This is an excellent!
Interesting effect...I get all sorts of images from it...nice post
