Description

I realized as I was attempting to pick a gallery, that the only 3D available is a computer program and doesn't pertain to 3D artwork...mmmm...need a new gallery catagory...sculpture isn't 2D that's for sure! LOL Hope you enjoy the pics...my first attempt in clay. Bruce Everly, Master Sculptor and my mentor, is delighted with my work and so I have full use of his studio! I'm creating my own in a spare room at my house and cannot wait to go full force into this. My second piece is drying in preparation for firing and I'm working on the third, which is full figure and about 20" high by 21" long--nude female sitting. Suppose I'll have to put a "nudity" warning when I upload that pic! LOL Thank you all for your words of support, critique (which helps me become refined), and suggestions.

Just Great! Wonderful proportions. And the front view shows a realistic personality. Hope to see your other works as well.

I think you have done really great, One thing that bugs me a bit is the hair on this statue.. It seams to organized, and I guess thats how we all try to gets thing, but nature has another way of organizing and in a totally diffrent style.. so let it be a bit messy.. the rest of the face is very well done in proportions and style.. Hope to see more of your work here soon.. Benny

You are a gifted sculptress - this is very well done. There is a realism in her face and expression. The hair is intriguing, too, because it seems to reflect her rather controlled character. Interesting work. Looking forward to seeing more of your sculptures. :o) CC

The hair is plaited in the Egyptian style with the endings in beads...should have stated that! Sorry!
