Description
Although I love what I do, create images for other people's books and stories, I try to do an image just for me/my folio about once every three - six months. Actually, I am discovering I HAVE to do a few 'just because'. Something in me takes hold, and I can't think on my commissioned work until I finish it.
Luckily, I get my own images done somewhat faster than I can get commissioned work done. It probably has to do with the fact that I don't have to take the time to get into someone elses head; the 'story' is already in my head itching to get out.
The image pops into my head quite suddenly. Then I have to bring to get it out within a relatively short timeframe, or I get grumpy ... lol.
Well, let me know what you think. I'm still sorta new to the sci-fi genre, as far as my images are concerned (I usually read fantasy but watch sci-fi films). I tend to gravitate toward fantasy, but my mental eye seems to be shifting ... Looking forward to your feedback. :D

Hi, my first impression when I look at you scene is that the station doesn't fit into the scene, it looks strange and I think it is the texture. Try use some other texture and make it fit more into the scene, then you will get a more realistic scene:)

Galleons, Air Ships, what appears to be the house from 'Up' and the meeting of the minds of the fantasy realm, whoever says it can't have a futuristic look is misleading themselves! So much here to see and superbly done work, thoughly enjoyed this art!

this is so cool looking - the dichotomy of the old ships - sky ships to the station is perfect - it makes sense to me and I read SciFi as well as fantasy
