Description

The farm cats rubbed around Santa Claus' legs as he tried to get closer toward the Christmas tree standing in the farmhouse front room one Christmas Eve. They watched him deliver all the curious parcels and followed him out into the cold frosty night. Santa got back to his sleigh and reindeer deciding to rest a while, so the cats stayed with them. Santa loved animals and laughed and talked to them enjoying a few minutes before he set off again. Silver Bells - The poem, Across the snow the silver bells Come near and yet more near; Each day and night, each day and night They twinkle soft and clear. Tis Father Christmas on his way Across the winter snows; While on his sleigh the sliver bells Keep chiming as he goes. I listen for them in the night I listen all the day; I think these merry silver bells Are long, long on the way! Hamish Hendrey.
