Description

Testing out a litttle new ground for me...Tears. This is a portion of a previous post I've chosen for some trial tear painting. It is entirely Photoshop lasso, dodge and burn. The image is a little too low-res to introduce reflective 'color', so I decided not to even try. Input from you all is greatly appreciated! Please tell me what you think it needs. :) ~ Thanks in advance for helping out!!

I think it needs for you to write a tutorial for those of us who haven't quite gotten the hang of making fantastic tears like these!!! Superb!!!!

Great tear but it looks like it should fall a little to the right along her cheek. Good job of painting

I looked up your other image to check out the eye and saw you thought about putting the wetness in here. Very good ! BTW I think the path of a tear is non-predictable so I like it as it is !

I think I missed the contour a bit, too.:) (TheBox) I appreciate the fresh viewpoint. It's easy to miss these things when you stare at an image too long ;D. Much thanks for all the comments (now and later) !! - Charlie

IMHO it looks fantastic. The contouring gives her cheek a small amount of plumpness. i agree with ACHPostma on the unpredictability of path. Love the extra wetness on her lower lid for more realism. Any chance of sharing that link?
