Description
"Buried Dreams"
From the series "Battlefield, Destruction of the War"
Date of this photo: January 31, 2004
How many names in the history are owners of the glories?
How many men cost the victories?
......
What a lot of blood has got lost!
How much wounded honor
In these cruel wars without laurels!
What a lot of hunger has passed!
Hunger for every side,
Hunger of peace, hunger of honest man.
........
What a lot of cut lives!
What a lot of buried dreams!

Excellent image!!

very moving imagery. i say, lets turn the clock back to a time when leaders, were at the front leading there troops into battle. these were very brave men bred for war. ponder bush and blair in uniform walking so tall and proud into the face ov hoards ov thugs waving sharp metalic objects with the soul intention ov disembowling them both before lunch.... or any other penpushing asshole in a suit for that matter. do you think war would be so popular then. I think not somehow. We live in a world run by buisness men for buisness men. us little people mean less than a penny in the scale ov things. thats a pretty small cost considdering the odd missile here and there cost millions. huh. scary thought. i wonder who votes these hollow ppl into power & and mores the point ....why, whats in it for them. cos im at a loss to see any benifit ??? ....Excellent work...it stirs me !!

This image you have here is powerful...The cross (an object), reaching up to the sky...A grey, misty day in the battlefield once more...I am a billion year old carbon...I don't question things anymore...One thing's for sure---I'll call the shots, where my life depends...Not some human institution with their so called purposes, goals and medals...no sir...I'd be fishing and farming in a few in North P.I....sorry for the rambling, your image made me do it...EXCELLENT, Enax!

Incredible image, Francesc. It does have strange power, even without the words. Perfectly executed idea. My vote.

A realistic yet surrealistic image. Very thought provoking and a powerful statement. Say YES to Peace always. In a war everyone looses, there can be no victory in bloodshed!!

Hi Francesc, the image carries the mood the title says that it should have. And the composition is good. But the misty sky has some green/olive tone in it (or my monitor makes it) that tries to spoil the photo...

Great emotional impact! Yes, the senselessness of war. The lost lives and dreams. The endless saga of life.

Very powerful shot! Reminds me of the symbol of Christianity - we've made a mess of 20 centuries of history. Man seems not to learn from history. Dreams, forgotten, buried. Where is the hope in this? Resurrection? Few people in our country still believe. Many thoughts cross my mind. Peace on earth! That's my wish to all!

Love the mood in this! Sad and beautiful. I like the placement of the beautiful cross right in the middle.
