Description

A crazy day of experimentation...creating a fall floor texture, mixing in some cool twisted trees. Yes, Yes, this should be under beginner, but aren't we all new when we venture into the abstract? All crits welcome and appreciated! Fall foliage from a picture I found on the net, the tree, also a freebee I found online. Post work in Photoshop.

Thanks! The picture is bright, but I learned so very much that day....now to figure how to keep the pic's perspective, ratio....tighten it up so the ground looks crisp....hmmmmm....

heheh it's funny looking at this. in maya, using the Paint Effects tools, you can 'paint' 3D trees like that just by clicking the mouse on a paintable surface. When you click, you get actually to watch the tree grow, first the trunk, then the branches and then the leaves heheh i have to say, i'm not a particular fan of the image texture you used, but the image certainly does spell autumn heheh

hahaha....this was a great adventure into alfa channels and learning the boundries of taking photos into bryce, each leaf was a graphic...lol Tree too. That day, I learned perspective...and frustration hahahaha..I need to stay away from the oil paint textures(Picaso is a fav of mine)...Maya? yes I have read that program is phenominal!....After I learn how to build the bridge dynamically, then I can hire a team to assemble it, for now I need be the creator, the engineer. Is Vue similar to maya? click and paint? :)(I don't miss the cold of the north, but ohhhh baby, I miss the color of fall!}
