Description
In yet another prop and texture test/bash, we have my own G8 character morph (available in Free Stuff) and the newly released Free Stuff Type 2 version of the British P1742 Long Land Musket. Both worked as expected, though the 'belly box' cartridge box and bayonet scabbard rig set up for this musket still needs fitting work and was thus set aside. The bulk of the gent's outfit was from a venerable Genesis 2 pirate outfit from DAZ bolstered by a jacket from Barbara Bundon and Moonscape Graphics's 'Deck Hand Outfit for Genesis 8 Males.' His boots are from Mada and Shox-Designs's 'Corsican Raider Outfit for G8/8.1 Males' and his melee weapon is a 'Blackbeard' cutlass yet to be offered in Free Stuff.
I didn't run the jacket in DForce because everything was set up and positioned by the time i thought of it and i wasn't going backward in the event of drama. The jacket has performed well in past usage.
The cabin was a big treat - a simple but affordable and effective prop from the 'Thatched Cabin' set by Enterables in DAZ. The graphics on these buildings look great for the amount of memory used and come with emissive lanterns both inside and out. Interiors are stripped of props, which is no great failing as most of us love to populate our period/fantasy interiors with all manner of furniture and decor from every which-a-way.
Lighting is from Orestes and the moon prop from Shaaramuse. Ground textures are from Andrey Pestryakov's 'Ground Decal Materials' in DAZ.

The musket textures are superb. Nice lighting. Interesting character.
Thanks 3D! There's lots of room to tweak and fiddle with the musket textures, mostly by darkening and toning. Digital Delirium in DAZ offers excellent affordable stone. leather and wood textures for those seeking even more oomph. I use them quite a bit.
Very beautifully done scene and a superb model of the musket!
Thanks Blue!
