In this little test we have Dreamlight's new edition of Stonemason's brilliant and all-encompassing setting 'The Suburbs.' Both artists vend more at DAZ and Renderhub, though I suspect most Renderosity members are familiar with them both. Dreamlight's angle is simple in theory - add cameras and an HDRI or EXR to a quality setting for a ready to go image, though in this case a lot of work was applied to Stonemason's great props to achieve the post-hurricane destruction. A perfect blend of assets for those needing such a setting. In this render, nothing was done to the scene beyond the addition of an Orestes sunset skydome for added contrast and drama. All the myriad wrecked props are untouched, and the camera used was one of several provided. Rendering on an ancient 1080 took less than three minutes. In short, I think this is an excellent library edition for those needing a post-catastrophe setting. Stonemason is a setting master and Dreamlight a lighting guru who knows how to blend his skills with the former. Their products are heavy on memory storage and can be long in runtime, but they are worth every penny, particularly during sales.
